Law Violations

    If your child has been arrested or cited for a law violation then you can depend on our experience in Juvenile court to handle your case.  Often times a Juvenile is charged in adult court, when they should have been charged in Juvenile Court.  We will fight to get those cases transferred to juvenile court.  Juveniles make mistakes, we will work to make sure it doesn't effect their future plans.

    Juvenile court operates under a different set of rules and procedures than adult court.  Initial appearances, adjudications and dispositions are different than adult court.  In addition to the usual consequences of law violations there are special considerations such as placement of the child outside of the family home. 

Abuse/Neglect Cases

A substantial number of cases in juvenile court are based on the abuse and neglect statutes.  This doesn't necessarily mean that the parent has done anything wrong.  Sometimes there are no fault cases where a family is in special need of services.  Parents can be wrongly accused of failing to take care of their child.  Police can cite you for a variety of issues that come out of these types of cases and these are serious issues.  Involvement in the juvenile court can be a long and complicated process.  Many times decisions are made early in the case that can effect the long term outcome of your case.  Make sure you are well represented in these matters.  You can give us a call for an initial consultation concerning your case.
